There are many meaningful ways you can assist Victim Assistance Program and help make a profound impact. Learn which giving opportunities are right for you and your financial situation. Every gift will make a difference!

Secure Financial Contribution

Private Fundraiser

Host a fundraiser to raise funds and awareness for Victim Assistance Program.

Corporate Partnerships

You can help victims by encouraging your company or business to become a financial supporter of our program.

Employee Giving

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Contact your employer for a matching gift form.

Amazon Charity List

Shop our Amazon Charity List to help victims of crime and trauma as they transition into safety. Too often, access to community resources can take days to start, and families need immediate access to basic necessities. All items donated from this list will directly assist victimized families as they navigate the aftermath of crime and trauma such as domestic violence, fires, homicides, or sexual assault.

Donation items for our Children Who Witness Violence Drop-In Center may also be purchased directly off of the program’s Amazon Charity List, or dropped off at any VAP location Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm. If you have questions about our needs or the program, please contact Ari Barrett, Director of Strategic Partnerships, at 330.376.7022 ext. 212 or [email protected]. Thank you for your support!

Planned Giving

Consult your financial advisor or trust officer about making a living legacy gift through your will or estate plan.

Tribute Giving

Honor a friend or loved one by making a special gift to Victim Assistance Program in their name.

Endowment Fund

We recently started an agency endowment fund at Akron Community Foundation as a way to ensure a permanent stream of funding for our mission. The Victim Assistance Program Endowment Fund welcomes gifts of all kinds, including cash, bequests, closely held stock, real estate, life insurance and retirement assets.  Gifts can be made on-line at www.akroncf.org/give/VAPFund or by calling 330-376-8522.

Please visit our Financials page for financial reports and information. Victim Assistance Program is a registered 501(c)(3) (Tax ID 38-3142753), and all donations are tax deductible.  Questions, please contact us at 330.376.7022.
