Victim Assistance Program has partnered with the Summit County Domestic Relations Court to support families with children seeking court protection orders. Our new program provides families in danger of continued violence with free, immediate, unscheduled child watching while they are attending court hearings.
The Children Who Witness Violence (CWWV) program reduces barriers to seeking court protection and helps kids establish a sense of security through playing and learning in a positive environment. Our dedicated Victim Advocates will also be able to address any concerns parents may have about the effects trauma can have on children.
Our CWWV Drop-In Center at the Summit County Domestic Relations Court has been open and thriving since September of 2022, but we are still in need of many items to effectively serve our kids! If you would like to financially support this amazing new program, please click the below link.
Donation items may also be purchased directly off of the program’s Amazon Charity List, or dropped off at any VAP location Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm. If you have questions about our needs or the program please contact [email protected]. Thank you for your support!
