Victim Assistance Program has partnered with the Summit County Domestic Relations Court to support families with children seeking court protection orders. Our new program will provide families in danger of continued violence with free, immediate, unscheduled child watching while they are attending court hearings.
The Children Who Witness Violence (CWWV) program will reduce barriers to seeking court protection and help kids establish a sense of security through playing and learning in a positive environment. Our dedicated Victim Advocates will also be able to address any concerns parents may have about the effects trauma can have on children.
Our brand new CWWV Drop-In Center at the Summit County Domestic Relations Court is set to open on 9.1.2022, but we are still in need of many items to effectively serve our kids! For those with big hearts, there are still sponsorship opportunities available to cover the expenses of cabinetry, kids’ furniture, and infant care equipment. If you would like to financially support this amazing new program, please click the below link.
Donation items may also be purchased directly off of the program’s Amazon Charity List, or dropped off at any VAP location Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm. If you have questions about our needs or the program, please contact Ari Barrett, Director of Strategic Partnerships, at 330.376.7022 ext. 212 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your support!
Tangible donations are appreciated, but note that this room is not currently funded under any grant. Monetary donations will help staff the CWWV Drop-in Center and would be greatly appreciated:
